About ethiopia-care

Ethiopia-Care is a Swiss based organisation supporting elderly people without a home in Addis Abeba, the capital of Ethiopia.

We are an organization working with a network of people to help elderly people without a home in Addis Abeba, the capital of Ethiopia, one of the poorest countries in the world.
What makes us different: Our care is dedicated to elderly people which often go forgotten in the developing world but also in charity initiatives from the western world. We are coordinating our support from Switzerland, Lucerne. Our approach is to work closely with local caregivers to ensure that every support we get is accounted for and then provides reports back to our donors. To secure so we are organizing two times a year meetings on site in Addis Abeba to check project support status.

You can help us make a fairer, better world – wherever you are. Your voice can make a change – Creating a start for care for elderly in Ethiopia which do not have any nursing homes at this stage.

Testimonials

  • Having had the option to see live in Addis Abeba the life of elderly people on the streets opened my eyes and changed my attitude – We need to support young but also elderly people as both deserve a better life.

    Erich Kunz
  • We have been supporting ethiopia-care regularly and our relationship has moved from that of charity to friends of the organisation. Ethiopia-Care is a great idea committed to support our grandmothers and grandfathers
